We provide a custom team of vendors and personal guidance to suit each individual client and work to exceed expectations upon event production.

Having lived in Hawaii for many years and understanding the islands, weather and culture in combination with our mainland experience, knowledge and expertise, Mauna Creative is the ideal synergy of style, grace and experience for an exceedingly elegant and seamless wedding experience for our couples, their families and guests.

After earning her degree in Biology from the University of Colorado, Jennifer built a global career as a Marine Biologist, working extensively with whales and dolphins around the world, including years in Hawaii. Her early career also included producing large-scale conferences and events within the marine biology field—an experience that laid the foundation for her future in event production.
Jennifer returned to Colorado in 2017 to launch Gemini Events, where she serves as Owner and Director of Events, and went on to found Mauna Creative in 2020. Today, as Owner and Creative Director of both firms, she brings the same precision, passion, and leadership to producing exceptional events for local and destination clients alike—including celebrities, politicians, actors, and international clientele. She also serves as Senior Producer at Alta Amour, the firm’s sister company led by Meridith Lowe.
Known for her hands-on approach, Jennifer is the Lead Planner for every client she serves, guiding couples through the full planning process and overseeing wedding days alongside her seasoned production team to ensure flawless execution. Many client relationships extend well beyond the event itself, often becoming long-term friendships.
Jennifer previously served as Director of Education for WIPA (Wedding Industry Professionals Association)—the most respected professional organization in the event industry. WIPA’s strict ethical standards, including a no-commission referral policy, reflect Jennifer’s commitment to offering couples recommendations based solely on their individual style, vision, and goals.
Her companies are members of The Knot Hall of Fame, have been featured in countless high-end publications such as BRIDES, People Magazine, Over the Moon and more. Jennifer herself is sought after worldwide as an Event Consultant for luxury celebrations and as a consultant for new venues prior to their openings
Marissa's love for Hawaii was inspired by childhood trips to Kauai and her visions was realized when she and her husband Davin moved to Maui the day after they were married 12 years ago. They and their three children live in Lahaina and love the supportive community the island fosters.
With a background in hospitality, her evolution into events was seamless and she is a vital part of the Mauna Team as our Senior Producer. Her passion is creating thoughtful experiences based on a personal and detailed planning process. One of her favorite parts of this career is preparing brides for their wedding celebrations —helping them unwind, feel confident, and enjoy the moment fully by being present and grounded before the ceremony begins. Each celebration is a reflection of the couple, and being trusted to help bring that vision to life is something Marissa finds incredibly rewarding.
Meridith Lowe is an award-winning wedding planner with nearly two decades of experience in luxury hospitality and event design. Known for her collaborative approach, she hand-selects creative partners, builds lasting relationships, and uncovers the personal details that transform events into immersive, unforgettable experiences. Her work is rooted in both emotional intelligence and operational excellence, shaped by her background in Psychology and Sociology and leadership roles at a five-star dining institution and Four Seasons Vail.
Meridith is a the Owner of Alta Amour, a Partner at Gemini Planning and Senior Producer at Mauna Creative, three connected companies who support eachother with parallel leadership.
Outside of work, Meridith thrives on an active lifestyle—hiking, yoga, snowboarding, and strength training—especially in Colorado’s open spaces, where nature inspires her to slow down. Endlessly curious about the world, she is always drawn to new places, new people, and the stories that connect us. What truly lights her up, though, is the art of gathering: evenings spent over great food, good wine, laughter, and meaningful conversation (likely why she became a Level II Sommelier).
Her two children and favorite travel companions, Max and Freya, are always by her side, reminding her that the best adventures—and the most memorable moments—are the ones shared with the people you love.
As a collaborative firm, Gemini Events and Mauna Creative are the choice of many venues and have won the Knot "Best of" every year since 2016 and are in the Knot Hall of Fame.
